AKULTURASI KARESMEN MAPAG PANGANTEN ADAT SUNDA DI KOTA BANDUNG

ABSTRAK
Karesmen Mapag Panganten adalah bagian dalam upacara perkawinan adat Sunda yang ada di Kota Bandung, dan merupakan hasil inovasi serta kreasi seniman kota Bandung yang awalnya digarap oleh Wahyu Wibisana pada tahun 1964. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang Akulturasi Karesmen Mapag Panganten adat Sunda di masyarakat Kota Bandung, khususnya di Sanggar Nyentrik. Fokus penelitian ditujukan pada perubahan yang ada pada Karesmen Mapag Panganten adat Sunda, yang semula berbentuk tradisional menjadi bentuk baru dengan tidak mengubah makna tarian.
Perubahan yang dilakukan bukan pada faktor seninya saja, tetapi dipengaruhi juga oleh faktor non seni, hal ini dipengaruhi juga oleh gaya hidup masyarakat industri. Realita tersebut terkait dengan adanya akulturasi kebudayaan yaitu suatu proses sosial yang timbul bila suatu kelompok manusia dengan suatu kebudayaan tertentu dihadapkan dengan unsur-unsur dari suatu kebudayaan asing, sehingga unsur-unsur kebudayaan asing itu lambat laun diterima dan diolah ke dalam kebudayaan sendiri tanpa menyebabkan hilangnya kepribadian kebudayaan itu sendiri.

ABSTRACT
Karesmen Mapag Panganten is a part of the traditional Sundanese wedding ceremony in the city of Bandung, and it is the result of innovation and creation of Bandung artists which was originally worked on by Wahyu Wibisana in 1964. This study examines the acculturation of Karesemen Mapag Panganten of Sundanese custom in Bandung City, especially in Nyentrik Studio. The focus of the research was on the changes that existed in the traditional Sundanese Karesmen Mapag Panganten, which was originally in a form of traditional into a form of a modern touch, without changing the meaning of the dance.
The changes which have been made are not only in art factors, but also influenced by non-art factors, this is also influenced by the lifestyle of industrial society. The reality is related to the cultural acculturation, namely a social process that arises when a group of people with a particular culture is confronted with elements of a foreign culture in such a way that the elements of foreign culture are gradually accepted and processed into their own culture without causing the loss of the cultural personality itself.
