PENYAJIAN TARI RATU GRAENI SEBAGAI PERWUJUDAN BENTUK GARAP GUBAHAN TARI

Tari Ratu Graeni merupakan salah satu repertoar tari yang termasuk ke dalam rumpun tari Kreasi Baru karya R. Tjetje Somantri pada tahun 1949, menceritakan seorang ratu dari Kerajaan Medang Kamulan yang sedang berlatih perang untuk melawan musuhnya yaitu Prabu Gandawikalpa. Tarian ini berjenis tunggal dan berkarakter lanyap, disajikan dalam kemasan penyajian yang baru tanpa menghilangkan identitas sumbernya dengan menggunakan pendekatan metode gubahan tari yaitu merekomposisi, memadatkan, dan mengembangkan. Adapun tahapan yang dilakukan dalam proses gubahan tarian ini menggunakan tiga tahapan meliputi; eksplorasi, evaluasi, dan komposisi. Tujuan dari penyajian tari Ratu Graeni adalah mewujudkan interpretasi yang menghasilkan bentuk penyajian baru, sehingga menghasilkan nilai tambah yang lebih menarik dalam penyjiannya dan memberi kesan berbeda. Sentuhan kreativitas tersebut, dilakukan dengan cara memberikan ornamen baru, baik dari koreografi yang lebih bervariasi juga melakukan pemadatan, pengembangan, penataan ulang baik struktur, bentuk gerak, ragam gerak, serta menyelaraskannya dengan iringan dan aspek penunjang tari lainnya. Ratu Graeni dance is one of the dance repertoires belonging to the New Creation dance family by R. Tjetje Somantri in 1949, which tells of a queen from the Medang Kamulan Kingdom who is practicing war against her enemy, namely King Gandawikalpa. This dance is of a single type and has a different character, presented in a new presentation packaging without losing the identity of the source by using a dance composition method approach, namely recomposing, condensing, and developing. The touch of creativity is carried out by providing new ornaments, both from a more varied choreography as well as condensing, developing, rearranging both the structure, the forms of movement, the variety of movements, and aligning them with accompaniment and other dance supporting aspects.
