ABSTRAK
Tari Gandrung Arum karya R. Yuyun Kusumadinata termasuk ke dalam rumpun tari Kreasi Baru yang diciptakan pada tahun 1978. Proses penciptaan tari dan struktur koreografinya dijadikan sebagai fokus kajian. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan metode deskripsi analisis-nya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, do-kumentasi dan studi pustaka. Teknik penelitian dimulai dari pe-ngumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan simpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: tari Gandrung Arum diciptakan oleh R. Yuyun Kusumadinata untuk menambah kekayaan tari Sunda dan persiapan acara Festival Penata Tari Muda di TIM Jakarta. Proses kreatif yang dilakukan R.Yuyun Kusumadinata meliputi tahap eksplorasi, improvisasi, dan komposisi. Sikap dan gerak tari Gandrung Arum dipengaruhi oleh sikap dan gerak karya tari R. Tjetje Soemantri, tari keurseus, dan tari topeng Cirebon. Koreografi tari Gandrung Arum memiliki 10 gerak pokok, yaitu: calik ningkat, langkah keupat longkewang, ngintip, engkek gigir, ngahiap, sumiat, ngati-ngati, pundak soder, galayar ngejat ecek, dan calik ningkat.

ABSTRACT.
Gandrung Arum Dance by R. Yuyun Kusumadinata, June 2017. Gandrung Arum Dance by R. Yuyun Kusumadinata belongs to a new creations dance group in 1978. The process of dance creation and choreography structure serve as the focus of study. This reseach uses qualitative method and description of its analysis based on lexy J. Moleong theory. Data collection is done through interview, observation, documentation and literature study. The reseach technique starts from data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study are as followers: Gandrung Arum dance was created by R. Yuyun Kusumadinata to increase the wealth of Sundanese dance and preparation of the Young Dance Pencil Festival Jakarta at TMII Jakarta. Creative process conducted R. Yuyun Kusumadinata include exploration, improvisation, and composition. Gandrung Arum dance movements are influenced by the attitude and movement of dance work of R. Tjetje Soemantri, dance keurseus, and Cirebon mask dance. Gandrung Arumdance choreography has 10 principal motions, namely: calik ningkat, longkewang keupat steps, ngintip, gigir ngek, ngahiap, sumiat, ngati-ngati, soder shoulder, galail ngejat ecek, and calik ningkat.
