TARI PEMETIK TEH KARYA PAUL KUSARDY DI SANGGAR VIATIKARA KOTA BANDUNG

ABSTRAK Tari Pemetik Teh merupakan salah satu dari 19 hasil karya Paul Kusardy yang diciptakan tahun 1961 di sanggar Viatikara Bandung. Tarian ini menarik perhatian penulis karena merefleksikan kepribadian Indonesia sehingga tarian tersebut memiliki keberagaman budaya. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui struktur tari Pemetik Teh yang menjadi daya tarik secara visual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori struktur tari yang diungkapkan oleh Iyus Rusliana. Prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode studi lapangan terdiri dari observasi dan wawancara, studi pustaka dan studi dokumentasi. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan karya tari Pemetik Teh ciptaan Paul Kusardy yang memiliki pola pikir kreatif dan inovatif sehingga menghasilkan karya tari yang menarik. Kata Kunci: Tari Pemetik Teh, Struktur Tari, Tari Kreasi Baru, Paul Kusardy. ABSTRACT THE TEA PICKER DANCE BY PAUL KUSARDY AT VIATIKARA STUDIO BANDUNG, JUNE 2024. The Tea Picker Dance is one of 19 works by Paul Kusardy which was created in 1961 at Bandung Viatikara studio. This dance attracted the writer's attention because it reflects the Indonesian personality so that the dance has cultural diversity. The aim of the research is to determine the structure of Tea Picker Dance which is visually attractive. This research uses qualitative research method with the dance structure theory approach by Iyus Rusliana. The data have been collected using a field study method through observation and interviews, literature study, and documentation study. The finding of this research shows that the Tea Picker Dance work created by Paul Kusardy has a creative and innovative mindset resulting in an interesting dance work.
