ABSTRAK Tresna Sumirat tari ciptaan baru yang menggambarkan sepasang tokoh bertemakan percintaan, dengan bentuk pertunjukan tari berpasangan bersumber dari Folklor daerah Sumedang. Kisahnya menceriterakan pangeran Geusan Ulun Raja Sumedang Larang dengan Putri Harisbaya yang berasal dari Madura yang menjadi selir Raja Cirebon. Kedua wilayah budaya, Sumedang dan Cirebon dijadikan sumber penciptaan, baik gerak maupun artistik pertunjukan. Tari Tresna Sumirat bertujuan untuk mengisi kekosongan keberadaan tarian lepas berpasangan yang bertemakan percintaan pada tari-tarian Sunda khususnya di daerah Bandung. Penciptaan Tresna Sumirat ini menggunakan metode dari Jaqueline Smith- Autard dengan konsep 5 tahapan dalam berkreativitas, yaitu: tahapan dorongan untuk mencipta, tahapan bekerja dengan media, tahapan mewujudkan bentuk akhir, tahapan presentasi dan penampilan, dan tahapan tanggapan dan evaluasi. Hasil yang dicapai adalah sebuah tari berpasangan yang bersumber dari folklor yang bertemakan cinta. Harapannya dapat berkontribusi menjadi salah satu materi ajar di Prodi Tari ISBI Bandung. Kata Kunci: Tresna Sumirat, Sumedang Larang, Tari Berpasangan. ABSTRACT THE WORK INTERPRETATION OF TRESNA SUMIRAT DANCE, DECEMBER 2023. Tresna Sumirat is a new dance creation depicting a pair of characters with a love theme, with a form of paired dance performance originating from the Folklore of Sumedang area. The story tells about Prince Geusan Ulun, The King of Sumedang Larang and Princess Harisbaya from Madura who became the concubine of the King of Cirebon. The two cultural areas, Sumedang and Cirebon, have been used as a source of creation, both movement and artistic of performance. The Tresna Sumirat dance aims to fill the void of free pair dances with the theme of romance in Sundanese dances, especially in Bandung area. The creation of Tresna Sumirat dance uses the method from Jaqueline Smith-Autard with the concept of 5 phases in creativity, namely: impulse to create, working with the medium, realizing the final form, presentation and performance, and response and evaluation. The result achieved is a pair dance that originates from folklore with the theme of love. It is expected that it can contribute to becoming one of the teaching materials at ISBI Bandung Dance Study Program. Keywords: Tresna Sumirat, Sumedang Larang, Pair Dance.References
