KREATIVITAS DAN INOVASI DALAM PENYAJIAN TARI WAYANG GATOTKACA

ABSTRAK
Tari Gatotkaca merupakan salah satu tarian yang termasuk ke dalam genre tari W[PO1] ayang, bertemakan tentang kesetiaan, ketangkasan, kekuatan, serta keramahan. Isi tarian menggambarkan Gatotkaca yang sedang memeriksa dan menjaga Negara Amarta, baik ketika ia berada di darat maupun di udara. Tarian ini termasuk ke dalam jenis tari putra yang berkarakter monggawa lungguh, sehingga memiliki kekhasannya tersendiri dan menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi penulis karena bergender perempuan sehingga membutuhkan tenaga yang kuat dan konstan. Penggarapan dalam sajian Tari Wayang Gatotkaca menggunakan metode garap gubahan tari. Namun demikian, peluang garapnya berupa pengembangan pada aspek koreografi, iringan tari, pola ruang, arah hadap, arah gerak dan pola lantai tanpa menghilangkan esensinya. Adapun langkah-langkah yang dilakukan oleh penulis, yaitu berupa observasi pencarian referensi yang berkaitan dengan Tari Wayang Gatotkaca, melakukan ekplorasi, evaluasi, serta komposisi, sehingga menghasilkan penyajian Tari Wayang Gatotkaca dalam konteks kemasan baru dengan sentuhan garap inovatif dalam bentuk pertunjukannya.

ABSTRACT
Creativity and Innovation in the Performance of Gatotkaca Wayang Dance, June 2020. Gatotkaca dance is one of dances that belongs to Wayang dance genre with the theme of loyalty, dexterity, strength, and friendliness. The content of the dance describes Gatotkaca who was examining and guarding the State of Amarta, when he was on land and in the air. This dance is included in the type of male dance that has the character of monggawa lungguh, so that it has its own uniqueness and becomes a challenge for the writer as a woman that need strong and constant energy. The work of Gatotkaca Wayang Dance uses the method of a dance composition. However, the work opportunities are in the form of developing the aspects of choreography, dance accompaniment, spatial patterns, front direction, motion direction and floor patterns without losing its essence. The steps taken by the writer are observing the search for references related to Gatotkaca Wayang Dance, doing exploration, evaluation, and composition, so as to produce the presentation of Gatotkaca Wayang Dance in the context of a new performance package with innovative working touch.
