CARA MENCARI DAYA: METODE LITERASI TUBUH WAJIWA DALAM TARI KONTEMPORER ANAK-ANAK

ABSTRAK
Proses kreativitas membutuhkan sebuah strategi dalam mewujudkan keinginan-keinginan kreator sebagai koreografer, baik strategi dalam bentuk formal maupun material, ide gagasan, metode, dan mewujudkan media artistik lainnya. Karya tari ini melibatkan penari anak-anak (usia 6-13 tahun) untuk proses kreativitas tari kontemporer. Merealisasikan proses penciptaan karya tari dengan judul “SARAH” dilakukan sebuah penelitian artistik, practice-based research (penelitian berbasis praktik) seta menjadikan metode pelatihan Literasi Tubuh Wajiwa sebagai instrumen untuk menggiring anak-anak Kampung Ciganitri keranah kreativitas tari kontemporer. Metode Literasi Tubuh Wajiwa merupakan perangkat khusus untuk mengiring tubuh anak-anak menjadi simbol ketubuhan yang dapat melahirkan narasi-narasi sebagai bahasa ungkap dalam karya tari. Metode khusus ini meliputi proses menggali kecerdasan atau kepekaan raga, rasa, pikir, dan imajinasi anak. Kepekaan tersebut menjadi faktor penting dalam tari kontemporer karena seorang penari tidak hanya sekedar menggerakkan tubuh tetapi merupakan tubuh yang bergerak menghadirkan simbol, daya ungkap, sehingga tubuh penari anak-anak tersebut mewujud, melahirkan teks atau narasi-narasi yang menjadikan tubuh sebagai sarana ungkap. “Sarah“ mengangkat tentang kegelisahan, kesedihan, kegembiraan, dan semangat hidup anak-anak Kampung Ciganitri. Melalui proses kreatif koreografi “Sarah” ini mencoba untuk mefasilitasi emosi, ekpsresi, dan aktualisasi diri masyarakat Ciganitri sebagai penduduk asli terutama anak-anak, dengan harapan munculnya motifasi baru yang dapat menjadi energi baru bagi mereka untuk menatap lebih jauh kedepan. Melalui proses panjang kreativitas ini diharapkan dapat menjadi sebuah tawaran baru bagi masyarakat Kampung Ciganitri sendiri, serta metode pelatihan dan penciptaan karya seni ini dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi insan seni lainnya.

ABSTRACT
HOW TO SEARCH FOR POWER: THE PERSONAL BODY LITERATURE METHODIN CHILDREN'S CONTEMPORARY DANCE, June 2022. The creative process requires a strategy to realize the creator's desires as choreographers, both in formal and material forms, ideas, methods, and realizing other artistic media. This dance work involves child dancers (aged 6-13 years) for the creative process of contemporary dance. Realizing the process of creating a dance work with the title "SARAH", an artistic research, practice-based research was carried out and made the Wajiwa Body Literacy training method as an instrument to lead the children of Kampung Ciganitri into the realm of contemporary dance creativity. The Wajiwa Body Literacy Method is a special tool to accompany children's bodies into bodily symbols that can give birth to narratives as the language of expression in dance works. This special method includes the process of exploring the intelligence or sensitivity of the child's body, taste, thought, and imagination. This sensitivity is an important factor in contemporary dance because a dancer does not just move the body but is a moving body that presents symbols, expressive power, so that the body of the child dancer manifests, giving birth to texts or narratives that use the body as a means of expression. "Sarah" raised about the anxiety, sadness, joy, and life spirit of the children of Ciganitri Village. Through the creative process of “Sarah” choreography, she tries to facilitate the emotions, expressions, and self-actualization of the Ciganitri community as indigenous people, especially children, with the hope that new motivations will emerge that can become new energy for them to look further ahead. Through a long process of creativity, it is hoped that this can become a new offer for the people of Kampung Ciganitri itself, and this method of training and creating works of art can be an inspiration for other art people.
