ABSTRAK
Tari Paksi Tuwung adalah jenis tari putri yang memiliki perwatakan halus (lenyep), hasil karya R. Oe Yoesoef Tedjasoekmana yang diciptakan di wilayah Priangan yaitu di Bandung pada tahun 1982. Tarian ini menggambarkan kehalusan dan keanggunan seorang perempuan layaknya seorang putri, maka dari itu penulis dalam pembuatan karya penyajian tari, bertujuan untuk menampilkan sajian tari Paksi Tuwung yang dikemas dalam penyajian baru tanpa menghilangkan esensi dari bentuk dan isi yang ada pada tarian sumbernya. Untuk mewujudkan gagasan tersebut, maka teori yang digunakan adalah teori gegubahan, sedangkan metode yang digunakan adalah metode gubahan tari yaitu pengembangan dari sumber tradisi tertentu dengan cara memasukkan, menyisipkan, dan memadukan bentuk-bentuk gerak baru, sehingga menghasilkan bentuk penyajian yang berbeda dengan tetap mempertahankan identitas sumbernya dengan langkah-langkah proses garapnya meliputi: eksplorasi, evaluasi, dan komposisi. Penulis melakukan proses garap itu, dengan mengaplikasikan dalam penambahan dan pengembangan beberapa motif gerak, pola lantai, arah gerak dan unsur penunjang lainnya sehingga diharapkan dapat menjadikan sebuah sajian yang menarik tanpa keluar dari identitas tariannya.

ABSTRACT
Paksi Tuwung Dance, June 2021. Paksi Tuwung dance is a type of female dance that has a subtle character (lenyep), the work of R. Oe Yoesoef Tedjasoekmana which was created in the Priangan area, namely in Bandung in 1982. This dance depicts the subtlety and elegance of a woman like a princess, therefore the writer in making the work of presenting the dance, aims to present the Paksi Tuwung dance presentation which is packaged in a new presentation without losing the essence of the form and content that is in the source dance. To realize this idea, the theory used is composing theory, while the method used is the dance composition method, namely the development of certain traditional sources by inserting, inserting, and integrating new forms of motion, so as to produce different forms of presentation while maintaining identity of the source with the steps of the working process including: exploration, evaluation, and composition. The author carries out the work on it, by applying it in the addition and development of several motion motifs, floor patterns, motion directions and other supporting elements so that it is expected to make an interesting presentation without leaving the identity of the dance.
