Abstrak
Tradisi "Nyacarkeun Jalan" adalah ritual tolak bala, yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai solidaritas, gotong-royong, pengorbanan, saling mengasihi, dan sebagai refleksi nilai-nilai luhur kehidupan sosial. Pelaksanaan upacara tersebut dapat menyebabkan perasaan tenteram semua warga untuk terhindar dari berbagai macam malapetaka. Upacara tersebut kini sudah mulai memudar dan upaya merevitalisasinya bertujuan untuk memperkuat ikatan kehidupan masyarakat yang dapat digunakan sebagai alat untuk melakukan kontak sosial, interaksi sosial, dan juga sarana efektif untuk berinteraksi dan berkomunikasi.
Nilai-nilai dari tradisi Nyacarkeun Jalan dapat dikomunilkasikan melalui media seni pertunjukan dan sekaligus sebagai ajang kreativitas seni. Upaya mengangkat serta memosisikan kembali upacara tersebut dilakukan dengan cara merekreasi strukturnya dengan menambahkan bentuk-bentuk seni yang hidup di lingkungan sekitar. Penggarapannya diusahakan lebih menarik, dan oleh karena itu, struktur garapnya dibentuk untuk mengekspresikan inti ritus yang diwujudkan melalui alur musikal dan alur dramatik. Hal ini dilakukan agar ritual itu mempunyai warna baru yang lebih variatif, sehingga nilai-nilai kehidupan sosial masyarakat bisa tetap terjaga.
Abstract
The tradition of "Nyacarkeun Jalan" is a ritual to prevent disaster, which reflects the values of solidarity, mutual help, sacrifice, and love one another, and also as a reflection of the great value of social life. The implementation of the ceremony can make a peaceful feeling of all society to avoid various kinds of disasters. Since the ceremony has now started to fade, the revitalization efforts to strengthen the bonds of community life can be used as a tool for social contact, social interaction, and is also an effective means to interact and communicate.
The values of the tradition of “Nyacarkeun Jalan” can be communicated through performing arts media as well as a venue for artistic creativity. The efforts to raise and reposition the ceremony are conducted with recreating the structure by adding some art forms that live in the neighborhood. The choreography has been tried to be more attractive, and therefore, the structure is formed to express the core of rites which are realized through musical and dramatic flows. This is to make the ritual have more variation of new colors, so that the values of social life can be maintained.
