IBING KALANGENAN DI KALANGAN KAUM SOMAH DALAM TAYUB BALANDONGAN

ABSTRAK Tayub balandongan sebagai ibing kalangenan yang menjadi ikon daerah Situraja Sumedang Jawa Barat. Ada dua jenis ibing tayub, diantaranya tayub menak dikenal dengan istilah tayub pendopo dan tayub somah atau tayub liar dengan istilah tayub balandongan. Tayub menak penarinya merupakan para bangsawan karena ada suatu keharusan sebagai salah satu syarat untuk menjadi seorang bangsawan yaitu terampil ibing tayub, karena tampil menari dalam peristiwa tayuban sebagai identitas sosial bagi menak. Sedangkan tayub balandongan pelakunya merupakan masyarakat biasa yang dikenal kaum somah yang meniru kebiasaan menak. Mereka memiliki anggapan bahwa bangsawan atau menak merupakan panutan bagi masyarakat sehingga pola perilaku dan kebiasannya harus ditiru, salah satunya yaitu ngibing dengan ronggeng di Balandongan. Balandongan merupakan arena pertunjukan tayuban yang letaknya di luar gedung (out door), dan peran ronggeng dalam peristiwa tayuban mempunyai daya pikat yang luar biasa sebagai roh dalam pertunjukan ibing tayub balandongan. Kata Kunci: Ibing Tayub Balandongan, Kalangenan, Ronggeng. ABSTRACT IBING KALANGENAN IN THE SOMAH IN TAYUB BALANDONGAN, JUNE 2024. Tayub Balandongan as Ibing Kalangenan which becomes the icon of Situraja Sumedang West Java. There are two types of Ibing Tayub, namely Tayub Menak known as Tayub Pendopo and Tayub Somah or Tayub Liar called as Tayub Balandongan. The dancers of Tayub Menak are noblemen because there is a necessity as one of the requirements to become noblemen, they must be skilled at Ibing Tayub, because it appeared that dancing in the Tayuban event as a social identity for Menak. Whereas in Tayub Balandongan the performers are ordinary people known as the Somah who imitate the habits of the Menak. They have assumption that nobles or Menak are role models for the community so their pattern of behavior and habits must be imitated, one of which is ngibing with ronggeng in Balandongan. Balandongan is a Tayuban performance arena which is located outside the building (out door), and the role of ronggeng in Tayuban event has an extraordinary allure as a spirit in the performance of Ibing Tayub Balandongan.
