REFLEKSI BISOSIATIF IMAGINASI DALAM GAMBAR MAHASISWA-MAHASISWI TINGKAT DASAR UNIVERSITAS KRISTEN MARANATHA

In drawing classes as part of study at the Maranatha Christian University, studens will undergo challenges to explore their drawing and other experimental skills. In that particular experimental process, students most likely will combine various kinds of visual aspects that may not look to be connected directly on their drawing. To find significance of that process, then the transformation of the aesthetic experiences must be reflected into bisociative imagination of drawing study, by comparing those experiences with the aesthetic experiences of modern artist from the West. From that, we hope the students can realize how significant it is to integrate experience from drawing practice with creative experience derived from theoritical knowledge. Then hopefully the students will act and think integrally.

Pada proses studi menggambar di tahun pertama dalam sistem pendidikan tinggi seni rupa di Universitas Kristen Maranatha mahasiswa-mahasiswi dihadapkan pada tantangan untuk mengeksplorasi sejauh mungkin kemampuan dasar menggambar dan kemampuan lain yang bersifat eksperimental. Pada proses penciptaan gambar yang eksperimental tersebut hampir dipastikan mereka akan selalu melakukan proses pengabung-gabungan unsur visual yang beragam dan terkesan tidak ada hubungannya antara unsur visual yang satu dengan yang lain pada gambar yang diciptakan. Untuk menemukan makna penting dari proses tersebut maka transformasi pengalaman estetik yang terjadi pada mereka harus segera direfleksikan dalam evaluasi tentang bisosiatif imajinasi studi gambar dengan menghadapkan mereka pada pengalaman estetik para seniman seni rupa modern Barat. Diharapkan melalui proses tersebut mahasiswa-mahasiswi dapat menyadari pentingnya mengintegrasikan pengalaman praktik penciptaan gambar dengan pengalaman kreatif yang berasal dari pengetahuan teoritis, hingga terciptalah mahasiswa-mahasiswi yang bertindak dan berpikir integral.
